Security Duties & Procedure

 

1      No attendee will be refused entry even if they are under the influence ( those suspected of being under the influence must be brought to the duty of carer & first aid so they can contact their parents or gardai

 

2        All security will not be on their mobile phones , take photos or recordings of the under age event

 

3      All Security will be pointed a position or a point to guard (e.g bathrooms, fire exits, dance floor , staging area, front door etc

 

4      All Security will have their PSA badge displayed incase asked by gardai or PsA for inspection

 

5      All security will listen to the head of security & event manager

 

6      No need to restrain a child use your words first only restrain is it’s the last resort (any attendee found fighting is to be brought to the duty of carer and the security guard will be asked if they think the attendees should be given the opportunity to return to the disco or go home. If blood is drawn parents or gardai will be called straight away all parties involved must fill out an incident report form and signed by all parties

 

 

7      Security must be on the lookout for anyone trying to damage property belonging to the venue anyone found must be brought to the duty of carer where everything is documented parent or gardai informed

 

8      All security must be on the lookout for any spillages and clean it up  or in form someone who’s in charge of cleaning straight away. You must not leave the spillage until a wet floor sign is placed and the spillage is cleaned up

 

9      if the smoke alarm goes off the event manager and head security must check to see if it’s a false alarm ( if it’s a false alarm find out what happened if it was an attendee, they must be brought to the duty of carer to find out more information, the attendees might be sent home, the alarm will be turned off and if it’s linked to the fire station the event manager or head of security will ring them to inform them of a false alarm. In event it’s a fire all security will calmly get all attendees in a straight line and evacuate in an orderly safety fashion to the fire safety point, the event manager or head of security will instruct security where to search before leaving the venue such as bathrooms, doorways, rooms etc. event manager or head of security will ring the first station to confirm it so a fire

 

10    If a security guard finds someone looking for first aid assistance, they will bring the attendee to the first aid straight away

 

11   Security who are monitoring the bathrooms will make sure there is only 2 attendees at a time going in to the bathrooms

 

12    No child can leave the venue before 10.30pm without been signed out by a parent or guardian

 

13   All Security will manage the crowd leaving by Leaving them out in groups of 20-50 attendees,

 

14   Security will direct traffic and keep traffic flowing freely, anyone obstructing the road security will ask them to move, if needed security will call the gardai for assistance

 

15   Try and prevent traffic for building, people parking randomly and will try and keep the traffic moving quickly and safely

 

16   No security can leave until every child is collected
