It’s official: a night of music, dancing, and disco fever, in partnership with Munster’s only Teenage Road Show Rev Discos! Young people with disabilities (and their important adults!) are encouraged to come along to hang with friends, bop to great tunes, and party the night away! A number of helpers will be on hand to ensure a safe, controlled, relaxed, and friendly environment, as well as lending any support they can!
Teenage inclusive disco, offering young people with disabilities an opportunity to participate in experiences that are usually not open to them due to maybe there being access barriers. These young people have the right to participate in social events and should be offered the chance to do so. I wish to partner with Rev on this project, the main organisers of discos in the city and county to ensure that equity is afforded to our young people who due to medical and/or access needs do not get to attend the regular discos. The event will be supervised by parents and caregivers and it gives all who attend a chance to enjoy an evening in “a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment”.
